HHS Sets Parameters For Reinsurance, Coinsurance, Exchange User Fees

Mealey's (June 10, 2015, 9:01 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on March 11, 2104, issued finalized rules establishing various insurance parameters for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2015.

The regulation set the yearly 2015 uniform reinsurance contribution rate at $44 per capita and the uniform payment parameters at $70,000 and provides for a $250,000 reinsurance cap and a 50 percent coinsurance rate.
