Texas Federal Judge Dismisses FDCPA And TILA Claims Against Lender
(January 26, 2016, 12:23 PM EST) -- DALLAS — After finding that a borrower failed to support his claims for violation of the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Truth in Lending Act (TILA), a Texas federal judge on Jan. 25 adopted a recommendation by a magistrate judge to dismiss the complaint without leave to amend (Earl L. Turner v. Nationstar Mortgage LLC, et al., No. 3:14-CV-1704, N.D. Texas; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 8074).
