Paris Court Schedules Hearing On Application To Annul $765 Million Award

Mealey's (January 22, 2016, 2:16 PM EST) -- SPOKANE, Wash. — A gold mining corporation on Jan. 21 announced that a Paris court has scheduled a hearing on an application filed by the Republic of Venezuela to annul a $765 million award, including accrued post award interest, and reported that a District of Columbia federal court has issued an order, finding that a “reasonable period of time” has passed since the award was confirmed last year.
