High Court Declines To Review Arbitration Ruling In Loan Dispute

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 10:18 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on April 27 denied a petition for writ of certiorari filed by a consumer loan company owned by a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe seeking to have the court reverse a finding by the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals voiding an arbitration clause contained in loan agreements between the loan company and several individuals who received loans (Western Sky Financial, et al. v. Deborah Jackson, et al., No. 14-991, U.S. Sup.).
