Mealey's (July 28, 2020, 11:44 AM EDT) -- PITTSBURGH — Health care providers who treated a patient who repeatedly talked about stabbing an unidentified neighbor to death with scissors before carrying out his threat could have identified the neighbor or a small group of neighbors living in his apartment building and, therefore, had a duty to warn them, a divided Pennsylvania Supreme Court held July 21, affirming two lower court rulings (Laura L.
