9th Circuit Affirms Judgment For State In Gaming Dispute

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 9:46 AM EDT) -- PASADENA, Calif. — A panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 17 affirmed a lower court ruling granting summary judgment in favor of the State of Washington in a dispute over gaming rights with the Tulalip Tribes of Washington, saying the terms of a gaming contract did not require the state to adopt the plaintiff’s requested amendment (Tulalip Tribes of Washington v. Washington, No. 13-35464, 9th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 6337).
