Oklahoma Petitions High Court Over Dismissal Of Suit Against Tribal Leaders
Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 9:38 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The State of Oklahoma on March 23 filed a petition for writ of certiorari with the U.S. Supreme Court, seeking to overturn a 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals decision dismissing its case challenging the Kialegee Tribal Town’s attempt to build a casino on land owned by another tribe (State of Oklahoma v. Tiger Tobia, et al., No. 14-1177 U.S. Sup.).
