Judge: Fish, Wildlife Service Must Consult With Tribes Before Conducting Tours

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 9:30 AM EDT) -- YAKIMA, Wash. — A federal judge in Washington on March 20 held that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must reopen consultation with affected Native American tribes before implementing any wildflower tours in the Laliik Traditional Cultural Property (TCP) and that its decision not to was arbitrary and capricious (Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, et al. v. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, et al., No. 14-3052, E.D. Wash.).
