Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 9:28 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A panel of the Federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 7 affirmed that the Shinnecock Indian Nation’s claims for breach of trust in a land dispute against the United States were not ripe for review while an appeal of the nation’s case against the State of New York in a dispute involving the same land was pending, but vacated the lower court’s ruling that it lacked jurisdiction over the claims (Shinnecock Indian Nation v.
