Aqueous Foam Plaintiffs Not Allowed To Block Access To Data, Companies Say

Mealey's (May 14, 2020, 2:23 PM EDT) -- CHARLESTON, S.C. — The chemical companies sued in the multidistrict litigation for injuries and groundwater contamination allegedly caused by the firefighting agent known as aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) on May 12 filed a brief in South Carolina federal court contending that the court should deny the plaintiffs’ motion for a protective order because there is “no dispute” that data requested by the companies related to what is called the C8 Science Panel is “highly relevant” (In re:  Aqueous Film Forming Foam, MDL 18-2873, D.
