Judge Orders Discovery Into Latin American Asbestos Defendant’s U.S. Ties

Mealey's (May 14, 2020, 1:23 PM EDT) -- BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Conflicting evidence warrants limited discovery into whether a third-party Latin American friction products company operates an alter ego in North America and the extent of its control over the company, a federal judge in Kentucky said May 12 in an asbestos case.  The plaintiffs on May 11 wrapped up briefing asking the court to sever the third-party claims for trial (Jack Papineau, et al. v.
