Water District Did Not Violate Open Meetings Act, State Court Majority Rules

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 8:44 AM EDT) -- FORT WORTH, Texas — A water control and improvement district did not violate the Texas Open Meetings Act (TOMA) when it approved the construction of a water pipeline, the Texas Court of Appeals ruled Nov. 26, 2014, in a divided opinion (Tarrant Regional Water District v. Monty Bennett, No. 02-13-00354-CV, Tex. App., 2nd Dist.; 2014 Tex. App. LEXIS 12792).
