(April 24, 2020, 1:09 PM EDT) -- RALEIGH, N.C. — A divided panel of the North Carolina Court of Appeals on April 21 affirmed a trial court’s denial of a nursing home’s motion to compel arbitration of negligence and wrongful death claims, finding that the lower court did not err in finding that an arbitration agreement included in admissions paperwork was ambiguous and, therefore, the defendants did not prove that the parties had a valid agreement to arbitrate (Pamela Gay v.
