Pharmaceutical Company To Pay $540,000 For Violating Environmental Laws

(April 16, 2020, 3:43 PM EDT) -- SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A pharmaceutical company entered into an agreement with the federal government in federal court in Puerto Rico on April 13 in which it said it would pay nearly $540,000 to resolve allegations that it violated the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) when operating a facility that has not been in operation since 2016 (United States v.
