Mealey's (April 16, 2020, 1:41 PM EDT) -- COVINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky officials’ response to the novel coronavirus pandemic has gone too far by banning in-person church services and imposing a two-week quarantine on individuals who attended an Easter service at Maryville Baptist Church and members of their household despite their efforts to social distance during the service, alleges an April 14 class complaint filed in a Kentucky federal court by five Kentucky residents who claim that attending church in person is “central to [their] faith” (Theodore Joseph Roberts, et al. v.
