Only Estate Representatives Have Standing To Pursue Claims Over Reverse Mortgage

Mealey's (April 10, 2020, 1:18 PM EDT) -- SEATTLE — A federal judge in Washington on April 6 dismissed a number of claims brought by the representatives of a woman’s estate and her heirs, finding that only the representatives of the estate had standing to purse causes of action against a lender accused of misapplying money from a reverse mortgage to pay for repairs to the home and a loan servicer that initiated foreclosure proceedings (Estate of Mildred J.
