Mealey's (April 8, 2020, 1:42 PM EDT) -- RALEIGH, N.C. — An estate’s workers’ compensation claim against the North Carolina Insurance Guaranty Association (NCIGA) arising from an insurer’s insolvency is barred under either the statutory bar date or the statute of repose, a North Carolina appeals panel said April 7, affirming the dismissal of the estate’s claim (Thelma Bonner Booth v. Hackney Acquisition Co., et al., No. COA19-602, N.C. App., 2020 N.C. App. LEXIS 259)....
