3rd Circuit Finds FDCPA Claim Is Time- Barred, Affirms Dismissal

Mealey's (January 4, 2016, 11:30 AM EST) -- PHILADELPHIA — After finding that a property owner's claims related to her mortgage and a foreclosure action were conclusory and that her claims for violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) were time-barred, the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Dec. 23 affirmed a district court's decision to dismiss the case in favor of various lenders (Susan Batista v.
