New Jersey Appellate Panel Upholds Class Certification Denial In FACTA Suit

(March 4, 2020, 1:40 PM EST) -- JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A New Jersey appellate panel on March 2 ruled that a trial court properly denied class certification in a Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) lawsuit brought by consumers against a retailer but that out of the three named plaintiffs, two in New York and one in New Jersey, the one who resides in New Jersey and allegedly made purchases in New Jersey may proceed with her individual claims (Ellen Baskin, et al. v.
