Approval Sought For IPhone Performance MDL Settlement Valued At Up To $500 Million

Mealey's (March 3, 2020, 10:37 AM EST) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — The plaintiffs in a two-year old multidistrict litigation over an operating system (OS) update that slowed the performance in certain iPhone models announced a settlement of class claims against Apple Inc. in a Feb. 28 motion for preliminary approval, asking a California federal court to give an initial thumbs-up to an agreement valued between $310 million and $500 million that would likely pay $25 to each owner of one of the affected models (In re:  Apple Inc.
