(December 23, 2015, 10:01 AM EST) -- NEWARK, N.J. — Four months after the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled that the Federal Trade Commission had the authority to sue Wyndham Worldwide Corp. for lax data security that led to three breaches of its network, a New Jersey federal judge on Dec. 11 approved the parties’ stipulated order settling the commission’s claims against the hotel chain (Federal Trade Commission v.
