California Court Affirms Ruling Compelling Settlement Of Slip-And-Fall Claims
(December 21, 2015, 1:31 PM EST) -- SANTA ANA, Calif. — After finding that a woman was prohibited from refusing to sign a settlement she had reached with a grocery store company in relation to her slip-and-fall injuries, a California appellate panel on Nov. 30 affirmed a decision compelling her to sign the agreement (Simona Tanasescu v. Ralphs Grocery Company, et al., No. G051032, Calif. App., 4th Dist., Div. 3; 2015 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 8696).
