Michigan Appeals Court: Judge Erred When Reforming Automobile Insurance Policy
(December 17, 2015, 12:27 PM EST) -- DETROIT — A Michigan Court of Appeals panel on Nov. 19 reversed a trial court judge’s decision to reform the terms of an automobile insurance policy to provide personal injury protection (PIP) benefits to a couple, holding that their son’s company, which was the holder of the policy, had an insurable interest (Auto-Owners Insurance Company v. William Morse, et al., No. 322635, Mich. App.; 2015 Mich. App. LEXIS 2192).
