New Environmental Study Ordered By Judge, But Water Bank Will Stay Open

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 7:58 AM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California state court judge on Oct. 2, 2014, ordered the state water department to conduct a new environmental impact report (EIR) for the Kern Water Bank but denied a suggestion to shut down the bank, saying that to do so in a historic drought would be “irresponsible” (Central Delta Water Agency, et al. v.
