Agency:  ‘No Adverse Environmental Impacts’ Due To Central California Fracking

(December 16, 2019, 12:54 PM EST) -- BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on Dec. 12 released its final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for hydraulic fracturing in eight central California counties and concluded that “there are no adverse environmental impacts due to hydraulic fracturing that cannot be alleviated.”  The SEIS would allow fracking on a combined 1.6 million acres of public lands and a federal mineral estate....
