Utah Federal Judge Declines To Dismiss Dispute Over Election District Boundaries

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 4:19 PM EDT) -- SALT LAKE CITY — A federal judge in Utah on March 12 declined to dismiss a suit challenging the redrawing of election district boundaries, saying that the plaintiff Navajo Nation Indian tribe was not bringing claims seeking to modify a previous settlement reached by the defendant and the United States (Navajo Nation v. San Juan County, No. 12-39, D. Utah; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 31195).
