Michigan Panel Affirms Summary Disposition For Homeowners In Slip, Fall

(December 3, 2015, 12:57 PM EST) -- LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Court of Appeals on Nov. 19 affirmed summary disposition in favor of homeowners in a premises liability case, finding that there are no genuine issues of material fact regarding whether the plaintiff was a licensee on the homeowners’ property or whether they had a duty to warn him about black ice on their sidewalk when he stopped to pick up a donation for a charity (Robert M.
