Mealey's (August 12, 2019, 12:47 PM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — A Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Aug. 8 upheld a federal judge in Texas’ ruling denying an insurance fraud defendant’s request for a good faith jury instruction, holding that the defendant failed to show that the omission of a jury instruction impaired his good faith defense (United States v.
