Pennsylvania Judge Won’t Dismiss Ethicon Pelvic Mesh Cases On Jurisdiction

(November 19, 2015, 8:22 AM EST) -- PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania state court judge on Nov. 9 denied a motion by Johnson & Johnson and subsidiary Ethicon Inc. to dismiss certain pelvic mesh cases on the grounds of forum non conveniens (In Re: Pelvic Mesh Litigation, No. 140200829, Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Co.).

Judge Arnold L. New, coordinating judge of the court’s Complex Litigation Center in the Philadelphia County Common Pleas Court, denied the defendants’ motion in a one-sentence order.
