Company: Plaintiff’s $9M Hydraulic Fracturing Claim Not Pleaded Sufficiently

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 2:48 PM EDT) -- FORT WORTH, Texas — XTO / Exxon Energy Inc. (XTO), an oil and gas exploration company being sued for $9 million for allegedly causing the wrongful death of a Texas woman, on June 2, 2014, filed a brief in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas denying the allegation that the drilling and compression venting of its hydraulic fracturing operation were to blame (Daniel W. Nicholson v. XTO / Exxon Energy Inc., No. 13-899, N.D. Texas).
