Missouri Federal Judge Upholds 1 H&R Block Arbitration Clause, Rejects Another

(May 15, 2019, 11:12 AM EDT) -- KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In two separate opinions issued on May 13, a Missouri federal judge denied a motion to compel arbitration in one putative Sherman Act class action over H&R Block’s no-solicitation policies imposed on franchisees where no consent was proven and granted a motion to compel individual arbitration in a second putative class lawsuit concerning the same policies where H&R Block could prove consent (Melissa Ramsey, et al. v.
