10th Circuit: No Age Bias When Spirit Failed To Rehire Former Boeing Worker
(November 5, 2015, 11:20 AM EST) -- DENVER — A former Boeing Co. employee who was laid off with all the other workers when the facility where she worked was sold to Spirit Aerosystems Inc. but was not rehired by Spirit like many of her co-workers failed to prove that the reason was her age, the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Oct. 9 (Olivia J. Housley v. Spirit Aerosystems, Inc., et al., No. 15-3103, 10th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 17663).
