State, Federal Claims Trimmed In Trade Secret Misappropriation Lawsuit

(March 21, 2019, 4:06 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A federal judge in Illinois on March 20 ruled that although a stored energy solutions provider has sufficiently alleged state and federal trade secret law violations based on its former customer’s unauthorized use of its trade secrets in breach of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) the parties entered into, the plaintiff has failed to state its claims as they pertain to the former customer’s alleged improper acquisition of those trade secrets (LiiON LLC v.
