U.S. Senate Passes Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act

(October 30, 2015, 1:30 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a 74-to-21 vote, the U.S. Senate on Oct. 27 passed the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA) of 2015, which has the stated goal of “improv[ing] cybersecurity in the United States through enhanced sharing of information about cybersecurity threats” by governmental and private entities (Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, No. S. 754, U.S. Sen.).
