Summary Judgment Granted In Zometa Jaw Injury Case; Doctors Knew About Risk

(October 28, 2015, 12:11 PM EDT) -- PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania federal judge on Oct. 7 granted summary judgment in a Zometa jaw injury case after agreeing with defendant Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. that the plaintiff’s prescribing physicians were aware of the drug’s risks (Bruce E. Bock, et al. v. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, No. 10-1338, W.D. Pa.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 136920).
