(October 27, 2015, 11:24 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — The manufacturer of infant formula sued by a woman who contends that the company made false representations and engaged in misleading practices in violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) on Oct. 13 filed a brief in California federal court claiming that the lawsuit is duplicative, “if not virtually identical,” to the relief sought in a separate action brought by the Federal Trade Commission (Oula Zakaria v. Gerber Products Co., et al., No. 15-200, C.D. Calif.).
