Georgia Appeals Court Upholds Grandparent Visitation Ruling, Reverses Fee Award

(January 24, 2019, 9:15 AM EST) -- ATLANTA — A Georgia appeals panel on Jan. 22 upheld a lower court judge’s decision to grant a woman’s petition for grandparent visitation, finding that there was sufficient evidence showing that her grandson would be harmed if visitation was not granted and that visitation was in his best interest, but vacated the portion of the ruling requiring the boy’s father to pay a portion of the guardian ad litem (GAL) fees (Mitch Reid v.
