Mealey's (January 23, 2019, 8:05 AM EST) -- CINCINNATI — Although an Ohio death penalty inmate is likely to prevail on his argument that the execution drug midazolam will cause him severe pain and needless suffering, an Ohio federal judge on Jan. 14 denied the inmate’s motion for a preliminary injunction because he did not meet a U.S. Supreme Court requirement that he prove that an alternative method of execution is available and feasible (In Re:  Ohio Execution Protocol Litigation, No. 11-1016, S.D.
