Class Certification Denied In Landlord’s Suit Over Delinquent Water Bills
(October 22, 2015, 10:18 AM EDT) -- NEW ALBANY, Ind. — An Indiana federal judge on Oct. 20 denied a motion for class certification filed by a landlord suing the town where his rental units are located for refusing to turn the water back on at his properties until he paid delinquent bills owed by his tenants (Reverend Paul R. Powell v. Town of Georgetown, Indiana, et al., No. 14-4, S.D. Ind.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 142255).
