Conservator Of Insolvent Insurer Asks For Court Permission To Close Proceeding

(October 22, 2015, 7:54 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — The conservator of an insolvent California insurer asked a California court on Sept. 22 to allow a final distribution of the conservatorship’s assets and the closure of the conservatorship (Dave Jones, Insurance Commissioner of the State of California v. Majestic Insurance Company, No. CPF-11-511261, Calif. Super., San Francisco Co.).

Majestic Insurance Co. was placed into conservatorship by the San Francisco County Superior Court on April 21, 2011. California’s insurance commissioner, Dave Jones, was named Majestic’s conservator.
