Panel Finds Visitation Ruling Premature, Upholds Guardianship Appointments

(December 17, 2018, 7:48 AM EST) -- MOUNT VERNON, Ill. — An Illinois appellate panel on Nov. 16 affirmed a trial court judge’s ruling naming a woman’s son the guardian of her estate and two of her daughters as the guardians of her person, finding that ample evidence supported the decisions, but found it premature to enter an order providing visitation rights to one daughter who previously cared for the woman (In re:  Guardianship of Lillian Burdge, No. 5-17-0317, Ill.
