Writer Says James Cameron Failed To Show No Copyright Infringement In ‘Avatar’

(October 15, 2015, 9:41 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — James Cameron and his film company, Lightstorm Entertainment Inc., failed to present evidence to refute claims of copyright infringement in their film “Avatar,” a screenwriter argues in a Sept. 25 petition to the U.S. Supreme Court (Gerald Morawski v. Lightstorm Entertainment, Inc., et al., No. 15-382, U.S. Sup.).
