Juror: Glyphosate Verdict Not Due To ‘Inflamed’ Passions; Finding Should Stand

Mealey's (October 22, 2018, 12:03 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — One of the members of the California jury that awarded a cancer victim $289,254,882.32 in damages for exposure to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto Co.’s herbicide Roundup, on Oct. 19 said in a phone interview that the judge should deny the company’s attempts to throw out the verdict because Monsanto’s allegation that the jury was “inflamed with passion” following the plaintiff counsel’s closing argument “is just not true” (DeWayne Johnson v.
