Calif. Court: Kansas Requires Evidence Specific Exposure Caused Asbestos Injury

(September 13, 2018, 2:02 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — While it makes proving causation in asbestos cases a “near impossibility,” a trial court properly applied Kansas law and concluded that it requires a man prove that the specific exposure in question caused his mesothelioma, a California appeals court held Sept. 10 (Gerald Hake v. Allied Fluid Products Corp., et al., No A150366, Calif. App., 1st Dist., 2018 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 6205).
