2nd Circuit: Arbitrator Properly Awarded Employer Damages On Employee’s Loans

Mealey's (August 31, 2018, 4:23 PM EDT) -- NEW YORK — A Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Aug. 23 upheld an arbitrator’s award of $103,389.82 in damages and $17,363.01 in interest for an employer after an employee failed to pay back three loans due upon termination of his employment, finding that the award was valid, that the employee’s request to vacate the award was untimely and that the employee failed to show that the award should be set aside (Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC v.
