Mealey's (October 2, 2015, 1:19 PM EDT) -- RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A jury in California on Sept. 30 awarded a woman $1,885,000 for injuries she suffered because her e-cigarette exploded while the battery was charging, which resulted in second-degree burns (Jennifer Ries v. VapCigs, No. RIC 1306769, Calif. Super., Riverside Co.).
