Kentucky Panel: Pizza Chain Properly Cleared Of Franchisor Liability

(July 11, 2018, 1:02 PM EDT) -- FRANKFURT, Ky. — Allegations that a pizza chain is liable as a franchisor for the death of a pedestrian struck and killed by a deliveryman on his way home from work were properly rejected on summary judgment, the Kentucky Court of Appeals ruled July 6 (Peyton Feltner v. PJ Operations LLC, et al., No. 2016-CA-001536-MR, Ky. App., 2018 Ky. App. LEXIS 198).
