Insurer Sues Reinsurer For Alleged Breach Of Facultative Certificates

(September 28, 2015, 10:19 AM EDT) -- BOSTON — An insurer told a federal court in Massachusetts on Sept. 23 that its reinsurer has failed to honor more than $470,000 in reinsurance billings (Lamorak Insurance Company v. Everest Reinsurance Co., No. 15-cv-13425, D. Mass.).

Lamorak Insurance Co., as successor to Commercial Union Insurance Co., sued Everest Reinsurance Co., f/k/a Prudential Reinsurance Co., in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, bringing a claim of breach of contract.
