HHS Wants Immediate Appeal Of Ruling Allowing U.S. House To Pursue ACA Challenge

Mealey's (September 22, 2015, 11:46 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A judge should certify for interlocutory appeal a ruling permitting the House of Representatives to continue with its challenge to the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the administration told a federal judge on Sept. 21. The administration also asked the judge for a stay of the briefing schedule until resolution of the motion for appeal (United States House of Representatives v. Sylvia Mathews Burwell, et al., No. 14-1967, D. D.C.).
