Wyoming Supreme Court Affirms Adjudication Of Property Owner’s Water Rights

(September 21, 2015, 2:31 PM EDT) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Supreme Court on Sept. 16 affirmed the adjudication of water rights for 52 acres of land, rejecting a neighbor’s arguments that a special master shifted the burden of proof to her, erred in finding that water had been put to beneficial use and erred in finding that the 52 acres were continuously irrigated since 1963 (In Re: The General Adjudication of All Water Rights to Use Water in the Big Horn River Systems and All Other Sources, State of Wyoming, Betty Whitt v.
